The White Buffalo is a family-owned and managed business specializing in Native American Indian, Southwest and Mountain syle jewelry, art, gifts and home decor.  Celebrating 23 years in business our store is located in Historic Downtown Truckee, CA 15 miles north of Lake Tahoe in the heart of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. 

Owners Jerry and Donna Wood are able to offer exceptional prices on an extensive inventory whose quality is matched only by the personal service you will receive.

We are proud to offer the Sierra Nevada's most unique and natural gem stone,  Gold Quartz . This beautiful Quartz stone, veined with 24kt gold, is from the original 16 to 1 Mine first opened in the late 1800's.

Our featured artists include award winning Navajo Ray Tracey, known for his beautiful inlaid jewelry so uniquely styled that each piece seems like a signature piece. His most recent Artist Show at the White Buffalo was this past August 2012.  He comes each year for a weekend during the summer and brings additional "signature" jewelry to add to our collection that is for sale.  Join our mailing list to receive notices for all our shows.

We continue to feature Federico Jimenez , Mixtec jeweler from Southern California who specializes in bold turquoise, spiney oyster shell and coral jewelry set in sterling silver. He has a very "bold" unique look, that is well known and respected throughout the Southwest.  You will see his ads in "Cowboy's and Indian's Magazine". 

Some of our other well known artists to watch for include Daniel Coriz, Tommy Singer and Christin Wolf.

We have added jewelry made in the USA done by Holly Yashi (California), Sergio Guitierrez (Liquid Metal, Florida), and Silver Forrest (Vermont).

There is a large selection of southwestern and contemporary turquoise jewelry of traditional styles from the Navajo, Zuni and Santa Domingo Tribes.

Navajo rugs, Pueblo Storytellers/Pottery, Artifacts and Baskets are all Native American Indian made.  They are contemporary collectible pieces.

Our inventory includes a selection of over 600 Zapotec hand made rugs and pillows from Mexico, available in all sizes,  home decor lamps, accent furniture, local photography, customizable signs, candles and so much more to compliment your home. Our inventory is updated regularly with new colors and styles.   

We have a large selection of HOBO International handbags and wallets, as well as other leather handbags and wallets by Ropin' West and Leaders in Leather. Clothing for men and women include t-shirts, sweatshirts, scarves, and slippers. 

We offer over 100 hot sauces, salsa's and gourmet food items to spice up your life!
